Apolemia uvaria
The species previously identified
in the Divebums Field ID section as Apolemia uvaria
was in fact an unidentified species of Apolemia.
Apolemia uvaria have only been identified in the Mediterranean
and off Norway.
Off California, there are some
15 or so species of Apolemia, but only a couple have been
described.
It is very difficult to distinguish
between local species of Apolemia.
